Underdark 2.jpg

It was an honor to be involved in a D&D fan-made film with Brian Ivanhoe from LA.

The work was great and I got to work with some awesome live action + CGI mixes, also a combination of 2D and 3D art styles to serve for the story telling.

UNDERDARK THE UNDER WORLD

Designing the intro of the under world city - Menzoberranzan was a very interesting process, which involves lots of brain storming, research and try outs.

The Opening

The opening includes Drizzt Do'Urden and his panther, which I redesigned the characters from ground up to the final 3D visualization

The Spider Queen

I’ve done the character design to final 3D animation step by step, and we were all very happy with the out come.

Cave Fisher Attack Scene

CGI + Live action, this is one of my favorite parts of the production!

I got to design the Spider like Cave Fisher and animate its spider silk against the live action warrior!

The Faceless Scene

Another CGI + Live action scene, aside from designing the Faceless character, this time I’ve included motion capture using light mapping method to track some detail facial expressions.

The Flash Back of the Assasination

This is one of the scene that we got creative and introduced the 2D silhouette cut out art style for the flash back.

The inspiration was one of this D&D image

After all, let’s enjoy the final edit of the film!
